Do you ever get the feeling that your life is going to change but you don't know how or when but you just KNOW. This was one of those moments. I had decided the day before, a Saturday at 3 pm, that I needed to get out of my world and go to the ocean. I got in my car after leaving a voicemail with a friend in Vegas and a voicemail with my San Diego friend and just trusted that I would have a place to stay, but grabbed my sleeping bag just in case. My friend Laura in Vegas called back an hour in to my trip and was excited to have me that night and I looked forward to catching up with my old friend. I spent the night with her and her big dog Vinny, catching up on our lives and reminiscing about our high school days and the trouble we liked to get in to =)
I didn't get the call from my San Diego friend Teresa until the next morning and I was a little nervous by then. She was surprised but very excited to see me later that day! A little while later she called again to say that she had gotten me a ticket to the play Xanadu and her and her boyfriend Mark were taking me out to sushi as soon as I got there! GREAT way to be welcomed to San Diego!
After a fun play and amazing sushi my friend left me in her condo and she went and stayed at her boyfriends house. She has a very inspiring space and I was so happy to be there and it just felt like SOMETHING was going to happen in my life I just didn't now what! I took this picture to try to capture my anticipation and excitement to see what the Universe has in store for me!
The next day I woke up and Teresa came over to tell me that there had been 60 earthquakes all over the world that morning including where we were! I was a little bummed that I had slept through it... We went to breakfast on the beach with Mark and her artist daughter Taylor. She left me there with a car to collect rocks and go rollerblading and come home when I was done, she mentioned she was putting together a surprise for me later. So I did what I was there to do and walked down to the beach and put my feet in the ocean and smiled. Mission accomplished. After my rock collecting until my pockets were bulging I did rollerblade down the boardwalk and around into the bay and back.

I headed back to Mark’s house and there was a beautiful feast prepared and lovely women arriving! They were all artists in various disciplines and all getting started, or wanting to, growing their art business. It was humbling that they were all there to learn from me and ask me how I got where I am. They brought some of there art to show everyone and they were all amazingly talented! It was a wonderful evening I will always remember and I wish them all the best of luck and tenacity to chase their passion! I should also mention that Teresa is a very talented artist herself and has done everything from sculpture to jewelry to cool leather purses! Her daughter Taylor is a painter and is having her first show in La Jolla and is becoming well know already at her young age, way to go Taylor!

I went back to Teresa’s and felt amazing so I took this picture to remember the feeling of gratitude I had. And this is only part one in the divine scheme of things..... (There is another post about part 2 later....)
Before I left town Teresa showed me her store that was filled to the brim with gear for horses and riding. It was at an arena where they also board horses and Mark was there and showed off his beautiful horse, or maybe I should say that his horse was showing off for me! We went to a few gallery’s and stopped by Yael’s framing shop to say Hi.
It was a great trip and I so appreciated Teresa’s hospitality and friendship! I am so glad I listened to the stirring inside me, trusted my gut and just got in the car and went, and yes I will be coming back very soon....
